Ooredoo Launches Hala Digital to Expand Access to Self-Care Services Across Qatar

Doha, Qatar – Ooredoo has introduced Hala Digital, a new Progressive Web App (PWA) aimed at making mobile self-care simpler, more accessible, and fully inclusive for users across Qatar, regardless of device or data limitations.

Designed as a lightweight, data-free alternative to traditional USSD services, Hala Digital allows users to manage their mobile experience without downloading an app or consuming mobile data — making it especially beneficial for those with limited smartphone storage or internet access.

The new platform enables Ooredoo prepaid customers to:

  • Monitor their usage and balances in real-time
  • Instantly activate vouchers and data bundles
  • Access personalised offers through an intelligent recommendation engine
  • Enjoy free music and entertainment via a partnership with Olive Suno Radio, which features live stations in multiple regional languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Nepali, and Sinhala

“At Ooredoo, our mission is to democratise digital access and ensure that everyone benefits from the digital revolution,” said Mustafa Peracha, Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo. “Hala Digital is a major step forward in bridging the digital divide, making vital services available in a simple, relevant, and inclusive format for all.”

As Qatar accelerates its transition toward a fully digital economy, platforms like Hala Digital serve as key enablers, ensuring that no segment of society is left behind in the nation’s digital transformation journey.

Hala Digital is now live and available to all Ooredoo prepaid users. Customers can access the platform directly through their mobile devices by scanning the dedicated QR code.
