Indian Mango Festival Returns to Souq Waqif with Expanded Offerings and Fresh Flavors

Doha, Qatar – The second edition of the Hamba Exhibition, celebrating Indian mangoes and their diverse products, will take place from June 12 to 21, 2025, at the eastern square of Souq Waqif, promising a richer and more flavorful experience for mango lovers in Qatar.

Organized by the Celebrations Committee of the Private Engineering Office in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of India, the 10-day event brings back the popular exhibition following its widely praised debut last year, which drew large crowds and widespread community engagement.

This year’s exhibition will feature an expanded variety of fresh Indian mangoes, flown in daily from different Indian states to ensure peak ripeness and quality. New mango varieties will debut in the local market, alongside a range of traditional and modern mango-based products, including sweets, juices, pickles, and savory dishes.

“The second Hamba Exhibition is being held in partnership with the Indian Embassy and runs from June 12 to 21. We’ve fully air-conditioned the venue to maintain the freshness of the mangoes arriving daily from India,” said Khalid Saif Al-Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the Exhibition. “Given the overwhelming response last year, we are expecting another large turnout this season.”

More Indian and local companies are participating in the event this year, offering visitors a chance to explore and taste a wider selection of mango varieties and artisanal products. Al-Suwaidi emphasized the exhibition’s economic role, saying: “This platform strengthens trade exchange between Qatar and India, while also encouraging competition and benefiting local consumers through a greater variety of high-quality goods.”

Open Daily with Extended Hours

The exhibition will welcome visitors daily from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with extended hours until 10:00 pm on public holidays. Organizers are encouraging visitors to arrive early, as many of the rare and premium mango varieties tend to sell out quickly due to high demand.

“We advise the public to come early and enjoy an authentic tasting experience of India’s finest mangoes, flown in exclusively for this event. Last year’s enthusiasm was a clear sign of how beloved this fruit is among residents,” Al-Suwaidi added.

The Hamba Exhibition not only highlights India’s rich agricultural heritage but also strengthens cultural and commercial ties between the two nations. With its unique offerings, the event has quickly become a seasonal highlight in Qatar’s cultural calendar.
