Doha Records June as Third Hottest Month of 2025 So Far

Doha, Qatar – June has been recorded as the third hottest month of 2025 to date, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department under the Civil Aviation Authority. The month has been marked by intense heat and strong northwesterly winds, contributing to challenging weather conditions across the country.

The average daily temperature in June is forecasted to hover around 34.7°C, making it one of the warmest periods this year. Historically, the lowest June temperature on record was 21°C in 1975, while the highest ever was a scorching 49.1°C in 2010.

Adding to the heat, fresh to strong northwesterly winds are expected throughout the month. These winds often carry fine dust particles, which can lead to reduced visibility and turbulent sea conditions. The wind intensity typically peaks during the daytime and begins to ease in the evening hours.

The Meteorology Department has advised residents, especially those with respiratory conditions, allergies, or dust sensitivities, to exercise extra caution during this period. Limiting outdoor exposure, staying hydrated, and monitoring official weather updates are strongly recommended.

As Qatar moves deeper into the summer season, authorities continue to monitor weather patterns closely, urging the public to remain aware of shifting conditions and take the necessary precautions.
