qatar central bank announces eid al-adha holidays for financial institutions

Doha, Qatar – The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has officially announced the Eid al-Adha holiday schedule for banks and financial institutions operating across the country.

According to the announcement, Eid holidays will begin on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and will continue through Monday, June 9, 2025. Normal operations at Qatar Central Bank, all licensed banks, financial institutions, and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) will resume on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The announcement ensures financial institutions and clients are informed well in advance to plan transactions and banking activities accordingly.

This update follows a similar announcement by the Amiri Diwan on June 1, 2025, which confirmed Eid al-Adha holidays for ministries, government agencies, public entities, and institutions.

Residents are encouraged to complete any urgent banking transactions before the holiday period begins, as most banks will be closed for five consecutive days in observance of the religious celebration.
