Barzan Towers, located in Umm Salal Mohammed just north of Doha, are iconic historical structures built in the late 19th to early 20th century. Their strategic position and height also made them ideal for observing the moon to mark the beginning of Islamic months.
The towers are a fine example of traditional Qatari architecture, built using coral rock, limestone, and mud.
