Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium (Al Rayyan Stadium) is located in Al Rayyan, about 20 kilometers west of Doha. It is the home stadium of Al Rayyan Sports Club and was a key venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The stadium officially opened in December 2020, featuring a modern design inspired by Qatari culture.
The façade is decorated with geometric patterns that represent aspects of Qatar’s heritage such as family values, desert beauty, and local wildlife. These patterns light up at night, creating a spectacular visual effect. During the World Cup, the stadium held just over 45,000 spectators, with plans to reduce capacity to 21,000 seats after the tournament.
