Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum

Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is a hidden cultural gem located in Al Samriya, just outside Doha. Founded in 1998 by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, this privately-owned museum houses one of the largest and most diverse collections in the region, offering a deep dive into Qatar’s heritage, Islamic history, and world cultures.

The museum spans multiple halls and features over 30,000 artifacts across four main themes: Islamic Art, Qatar Heritage, Vehicles, and Coins & Currency. It’s a unique destination where visitors can find everything from rare manuscripts and centuries-old Qur’ans to traditional Bedouin jewelry and more than 600 classic cars. The collection reflects Sheikh Faisal’s passion for preserving history and culture, collected from over 60 countries during his lifetime.

One of the standout experiences is a fully reconstructed 19th-century Syrian house, which was transported and rebuilt brick-by-brick inside the museum. With its mix of historical exhibits and immersive cultural settings, the museum appeals to families, historians, and anyone curious about the richness of the Arab world.
